Based in the bustling city of Singapore, Astral was introduced to the world of electronic dance music in the 90's through the music of Orbital, the Orb and Prodigy. Astral’s interests in dance music breeded his desire to learn the art of mixing.

Citing more recent artists such as Shiloh, Luke Chable, Hybrid, Benz & MD and Nubreed as his influence, Astral’s style spells ‘Progressive & Melodic’. During 2002’s much talked about Heineken THIRST competition (headlined by superstar DJ Paul Oakenfold), Astral emerged as one of the top 8 finalists in Singapore. Astral also recently performed at Phuture (Zouk Singapore) for Sessions in March 2007.

He now hosts the monthly radio show “Sunrise Sessions” on www.danceradio.gr; airing every first Sat of the month at 9-10 GMT. As the name suggest, Astral’s sets on the show veer towards chilled and melodic progressive dance music, setting a perfect start of the day.
