Music has always played an important in James’ life. From an early age he’s always listened to a wide variety of genres, which eventually led him to the righteous path of dance music (with a few detours en route).

Over the last 5 years or so, James realised that breaks and progressive house were where his real musical passions lay. Consequently, you’ll find most of his work loosely follows this path. That said, he says he’s still partial to a bit of trance and is passionate about ambient and chill music (which he also mixes when he gets the time). Music influences over the last few years include: Hybrid, Sasha, Way Out West, Underworld, Grayarea, BT, Shiloh, Digital Witchcraft, Jason Dunne, Andrew Kelly and a whole host of others too numerous to mention. On the more esoteric side, he’s a big fan of Marillion, Brian Eno, Depeche Mode, Radiohead and Jean Michel Jarre, to mention but a few.

James has been producing and mixing music for a few years now and the march of technology never ceases to amaze him. In James’ own words:

‘There’s so much you can do with computers and software these days that imagination seems to be the only limit. Add to that a veritable smorgasbord of new and constantly evolving music, and you have a recipe to satiate any appetite.’
